postgresql8.5alpha3可以下载使用了,可以热备份了,内置主从复制方案

在postgresql官方网站上发现了 postgresql8.5 alpha3的消息,看了一下新功能说明,真是又激动了一下

第一项就够大家高兴的:我想开发postgresql的学院派大牛们也渐渐了解了企业用户的心声,数据库外围功能是绝不能忽视的.
我激动一下

第一项:热备份,内置了主从复制方案,在恢复数据库时可以只读访问,下面的还得慢慢看.
另外这个版本是不能用于线上业务的,只能开发测试,不能真正使用.

增加了大对象的访问控制(以前是咋控制的)

在UTF8编码的服务器下,正则表达式函数支持大小写匹配(就是不区分大小写了),而且还支持区域相关字符串的分类(这个倒要好好瞧瞧)

默认装pl/psql(谁都知道,貌似鸡肋)

* The PL/pgSQL parser has been reworked to behave much more sanely.
PL/pgSQL的解释器重写了,执行起来更清晰了(那意思就是说出了问题不再乱指了,能说明白了)

对PL/Perl 和 PL/Python 进行了各种优化.(哪些优化不知道)
