how to deactivate the direct3d screen on vlc player

As the Direct3D is a little unstable and complicated, I want to deactivate it. Can anyone tell me how to deactivate the Direct3D screen on vlc player? Thanks in advance.

 

answer:

In the Tools menu, go to Preferences. Click the Video item on the side bar, then where it says Output, switch it to DirectX (DirectDraw) video output. This will tell VLC not to use Direct3D and to use the older DirectDraw output mode instead.

how to shut off the 3D output window?
Nowadays i am having a problem with VLC player when i watch a video in VLC, a 3D output window opens and there doesn't seem to be any option in any of the menus in any part of VLC .what can i do to shut off the 3D output window?thanks!

Type in "regedit" and click "Ok." This loads the registry editor.

Select the "HKEY_Local_Machine" option, then choose "Software," "Microsoft" and finally "Direct3D." This loads the Direct3D registry key.

Click before the "0" found in the registry key, press "Delete" and type in "1." This enables Direct3D. Close out the Registry editor and you are free to begin using your graphic-oriented games and computer content
