12 Things Good Bosses Believe

1. come to conclude that ...得到了一个结论，我得到了一个结论

      翻译为： 同时，我得到了一个结论：任何的技巧和行为指导，都不能造就一个成功的/伟大的/牛逼的老板，除非这个老板真的拥有一个

成功的/正确的/特定的成功理念/心态。

      come to conclude，这个用法比较典型，在这篇有点儿自述的半正式的文章中，可以以第一人称来使用。在我们的作文或者口语中都可

以这样表达。
      After all these happened, I've come to conclude/ to a conclusion that he/she is the right person for this job.

 

2. my job is to do sth ...我的工作/责任是做什么

 

“
My job is to focus on the small wins that enable my people to make a little progress every day.

”
      翻译为：我的工作是让我的员工可以每天都获得进步，整体上注重于/专注于阶段性的胜利/获得阶段性的进展。

      经常性的，我们会要介绍我们的工作，我们工作的主旨。
      Usually we would say: what I'm working on is ... , or we may express like: I'm a manager, my duty/work is making my

people do their work.

      通常情况下，用这种简单介绍自己职位的表达方式，介绍自己正在做什么的介绍方式，很难有一个持续性的动作性的表达效果。而使用

了my job is to do sth，就可以很好的将这一个动作的感觉表述出来。
      My job is to warm every children who are from Wenchuan, and get them back their school and classroom.

 

3. aim to do sth. as if ...去做什么事情，像什么一样

“
I aim to fight as if I am right, and listen as if I am wrong — and to teach my people to do the same thing.

”
      翻译为：去做事并坚持自己是正确的，去聆听并思考自己是错误的。同时带动我的员工也这么做。
      （去做不怀疑，去听多自省。老外写文章的思路真的跟我们不同，我们会连贯表达为：平时多聆听别人的意见，既然决定要做就不再怀

疑。同样都是表达一个意思，老外更喜欢精确地分清楚这两种情况。这大概跟我们的整个价值观的差异有关。）

      我们可能会用英文这样表达： I will do sth. as hard as I can. or I would       finish this as soon as possible.
      这样的表达，过于口语化过于敷衍化，作为地球人都知道的套话，说出来完全可以被忽视。

      反过来，我们可以这样说：
      “ I aim to complete this mass as if it is the end of the world” or “ I aim to work this out as if I'm the master of

 

 

this field”
