INTRODUCTION

    The United States of America has been a democracy for more than 200 years. Issues that were important in its early years remain so today: big government versus small goverment, individual rights versus group rights, free markets versus controlled trade, and connection with the world versus focusing on internal affairs. 

 

    The U.S. tried to be a fair and just society, and much of the time it succeeds. Through compromise and change, the country has grown, prospered, and made progress toward its ideals.

介绍：

      美国成为一个民主国家已经200+年了，很多重要抉择从建国之初一直延续到了现在。一是大政府或小政府；一是个体权利或集体权利；一是自由市场或贸易控制；一是与世界连通或只关注国内事务。

      美国一直都在向构建公平和正义的社会努力，大部分时间其都是成功的。通过改革和妥协，这个国家在成长、繁荣，并向着他的理想不断进步。
