CentOS6 Trouble Shootings

Issue1. Network is unreachable(Connect: 网络不可达)

solution: vi /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

change the ONBOOT=no to yes.

Issue2.  can not use yum in proxy environment.

Solution A: run the following command:

export http_proxy=http://www-proxy.jp.oracle.com:80

export HTTP_PROXY=http://www-proxy.jp.oracle.com:80

 

Solution B:

1. create yum_proxy.sh in /etc/profile.d/

2. add the 2 lines in the file:

export http_proxy=http://www-proxy.jp.oracle.com:80

export HTTP_PROXY=http://www-proxy.jp.oracle.com:80

 

Issue3. VNC Install (VNC 安装)

a. change to root user by issue the command: su -

b. yum install "vnc-server"

c. vi /etc/sysconfig/iptables add the following line in RED

-A INPUT -j REJECT --reject-with icmp-host-prohibited
-A FORWARD -j REJECT --reject-with icmp-host-prohibited

d. issue the command to start the vnc server:

vncserver :1

f. issue the command to stop the vnc server:

vncserver -kill :1
